Bob Hastings

Bob has been turning unusual wood since1975, working primarily with burled, spalted and small diameter woods found in Bruce and Grey counties. His work has been exhibited and sold in some of Ontario’s finest galleries and shops.  Bowls and vases are ‘one-of-a-kind’ and have earned several awards for excellence in wood craftsmanship.  Bob designs small tables using the same highly figured woods found in his turnings.    He is also an author of  ‘Woodworking Centre K-3, an introduction to wood technology'  and inventor of the ‘Bin Caddy’ sold at Home Hardware.   Originally from London, Ontario,  Bob is a long time resident of Southampton.
