Bonnie Hastings
A native of Owen Sound, Bonnie Hastings has worked in Ontario and Quebec as a teacher and
medical secretary, she is now enjoying retirement with her husband in Southampton.
Bonnie started painting with watercolour in 2011. The Southampton Art School provided her
with a variety of courses to push her painting to new levels of excellence. Bonnie has always
found pleasure in being outside among the flora and fauna, and she is intrigued by the variation
of shape and colour of flowers when seen up close and personal. Bonnie enjoys bringing this beauty
and excitement into the homes of her patrons using watercolour and more recently, acrylic.
Living near Lake Huron gives her the opportunity to paint the many moods of this great scenery.
Waves, rocks, sky and beach speak to the diversity of our world and our life in it.
Her paintings have been in shows in a variety of galleries in Southampton, Owen Sound, Walkerton, (She won an award at the Walkerton Library Art Show ), Thornbury and Waterloo.
Her painting, which was in the “Momentos” show, now hangs in the Southampton Hospital.
Bonnie delights in creating something of beauty and happiness to share with others.
