Jo Anne Chisholm
In grade 4, my teacher, Miss Allison, got us to paint a Canadian scene for an ‘Art Swap’ with children in Norway. When my painting of kids skating on the Credit River, in Port Credit where I’m from, was chosen, I was hooked!
I loved art classes in school, and later, while working in Toronto, I always found time to take any art class I could find; drawing, painting in acrylic and water colour, even sculpture.
I am now living in beautiful Bruce County, close to Lake Huron and the Saugeen River, and it is not surprizing that I still enjoy painting water scenes.
I am very thankful for the wonderful and supportive Art Community that includes Shoreline Artists, Southampton Art Galley, Southampton Art School and Southampton Art School Open Studio.
