Nature and landscape painter Kristina Maus works in finely detailed acrylics, watercolours and pencil drawings. She has used her creativity and her technical skills to illustrate seven books, to teach art for twenty-three years, and produce a body of work that celebrates her passion for the natural world. Now retired from formal teaching, Maus has time to devote to forest walks near her home south of Paisley, to hiking along the Bruce Trail, and exploring country roads and shorelines throughout Bruce and Grey County. In turn, connecting with nature in this way inspires her paintings of flowers, foliage, water, rocky shores, and the changing seasons of rural Ontario.
