A Southampton resident since the year 2000, Vicki Colontino drifted into the world of painting by accident. Never having taken art classes at school and not having the natural ability to draw, she decided to take a chance in her retirement years and signed up for a week long class at the Southampton Art School. Throughout that week, she discovered a new creative side to herself, and with an open mind and spirit her journey into painting began. Many years and art classes later, she is still at it and enjoying it more than ever. Her preferred medium is acrylic. She is especially drawn to seascapes, perhaps because she lived near the water all her life. She hopes that you enjoy her work as much as she enjoys the process of putting paint to canvas.
